The graph on the right shows the above-ambient temperature profile of the PVC chamber prototype and the channel prototype. The PVC chamber outperforms the channel and reaches the target temperature of 75F within 40 minutes. This is due to the PVC chamber system's lack of insulation, allowing the ambient air to aid in cooling the water from 101F quickly. |
This allowed us to meet our design objective of reaching 45F from 101F within 4 hours.
